The GBP is often prone to such moves, a real football currency. Dangerous and relatively illiquid currency like NZD to AUD.

The key lies in the GBP EUR relationship. This move from under 0.66 to 0.68s begged for a correction , today to the tune of 48 GBP pips. That was the real trade today.

Much depends on fed comments. But the GBP contributed to the $ index so far, likely prompting addditional buys on no real EUR weakness.
