Probably the sybaritic lifestile of many of the infidels living there.

That's easier to explain than why the sybaritic infidels are not out to crush the terrorists and instead defend them.

I don't get it.

Did you see the pics at zombie of the naked men and women marching in Berkeley against something or other? In front of small children?

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how it is that marching in the buff somehow validates or promotes anything of a political nature unless you're pushing nudism.

Plus, the naked marchers were not exactly, ah, specimens of marvelous physical attributes. Mostly rotund, graying, balding, gravity-withered individuals looking for attention.

Like LindyB, I love SF and the Bay Area because it is so beautiful. Love to visit relatives there, stay in downtown SF, do the Alcatraz, ferry to Marin, wander up and down the coast bit, just heavenly.

I am sure that the denizens shown at zombie do not represent the SF mainstream, whatever that is.
