Thanks for posting the cramer link. related to AMD, Cramer described influencing the market for a short period. 1 hour to half a day - at a cost of $10m to $20m. What we have in AMD is support that has lasted weeks. This seems a much larger $$, and more of a long range bet. I think the bet is on a great Barcelona demo that will generate financing a loan or stock offering. It seems like a long shot to me. But someone with money appears to be convinced. edit. Either that, or they're expecting an EU anti-trust complaint against Intel to be announced soon. Maybe short INTC long AMD spread, since INTC looks suppressed during same time..
