Just speculating, but Motorola might be interested in Palm, if only to shed some of its cash (into an investment that actually does have reasonable expectation for some near term returns) and reduce that cash as a target for Carl Icahn. And Motorola really does need an alternative to the "Q" for their high end business solution. Not sure that the acquisition would do much for the stock price, however.
