Anything that doesn't fit your worldview is "wrong headed claptrap" according to you. "Possible, May, Could." Had the Brits and the frogs paid nore attention to those words in the period between WW1 and WW2, we probably would not have had WW2. The lacked the cojones to asserts rights granted to them in the Versailles Treaty. And, yeah, that treaty was signed at gunpoint. What treaty that ends a war isn't? "Anyone who has read these reports knows they are filled with speculation and conjecture. Not enough facts to go to war on. Nothing more than fear mongering." Let me surprise you. I'd agree with that. And the "evidence" linking SH to 911 is simply ludicrous. But we're in there. Like it or not. What shall we do now? Run? We ran from Lebanon after the embassy bombing (Reagan was Prexy, just to keep this bipartisan.) We ran from Somalia after "Blackhawk Down". OBL was watching. "OH! You kill a few Americans and they run!" Shall we run AGAIN? How about a leaky freighter with a nuke in its hold in NY harbor? Know what you get then? A declaration of war. And that war will make this one look like a picnic. And Vietnam no Vietnams at me. This ain't Vietnam. There was never any danger the Vietnamese would come after us when we left. These guys were after us long before Iraq and will be long after. Do you want to will this to your children- -or yourself? WAKE UP, YOU FOOL! Violating the UN sanctions are not reason enough to invade a country that poses no immediate threat. Then WTH good is the UN if you can ignore it with no real consequences to yourself? You think Saddam or his buddies were ever hurt by sanctions? What planet do you live on? Either UN resolutions will be backed by whatever is necessary or they mean nothing. And currently they mean nothing. The best we can hope for is DC will finally develop the cojones to tell them to get off our real estate and then we can use it for housing for New Yorkers. Maybe the frogs will take the UN. They're welcome to them. I hope we learn from our mistakes. You seem to want to repeat them.
