I dunno... I suspect you might be reading too much into it. It was a great ad designed to get attention and remind voters to "think different', just as Apple did.

Remember John Kennedy's inagural address... "...the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans..."

Kennedy ment no disrespect to previous generations, and I doubt Obama would impugn Hillary's age - or the baby boomers. After all, baby boomers and seniors are powerful political forces.

It would be more appropriate to consider that Obama sees himself as largely untainted by the politics of the past, Clinton's miscues, Hillary's war vote and polarizing tendencies and, of course, the Bush disasters. He's not a "retread" like McCain, Gore, Edwards or many of the others. That's as much as I get out of it.

the ad impugns her for her age

I would like to see Hillary make a course correction. That Apple ad must have affected her.
If Bill really cared about her he would help to make her a more amenable speaker.
Her speech many times is way too loud.
Hillary had to show how macho she was about the war resolution to avoid being called a "wimp" by the Rovians. She refuses to accept responsibility for George Bush's actions. I don't blame her actually. Maybe it's semantics.

Her decision to not accept partial blame for that vote is killing her.
Maybe her campaign needs some "attitude adjustment". :•)
