yeah nationalism never seems to lead to folks being inward looking .... typically it ends up being very expansionist with the goal to enslaving everybody else... Maybe I can think of one that wasn't :O)...

Good points. I am simply saying that if we end up with one world government, someone will invariably buy it and then what will we do?

Good or bad as they may be, nation states and their dwindling number of currencies provide a natural barrier to a singular globally dominant entity. Let us avoid the ultimate K Street feeding frenzy and the ensuing orgy of corruption.

What would you like to see replace the nation state? I quite like having the choice to move to another nation if the one I am occupying falls victim to a few robber barons, or is dragged into folly by its leaders.
