There are very many men in the world who have reached a certain station in life and these powerful men, having a particular vision for the future, intend to exercise their great power and remake the world along lines compatible with this vision in the years remaining to them. These men, like bison, tend to run in herds and are thoroughly networked in ways both public and private, and they are working in concert in order to leverage their power to the maximum extent. The Soros power transcends money and economics, and in any event he is completely cynical about money power and for good reason. Unlike you, Soros didn't "earn" his wealth, it was a sort of "gift" he received as a consequence of his service to powerful interests years ago with the "offshore" investment pool that he managed for wealthy and well connected men who provided him with advance information upon which he acted with their money. He admits he is not a "good trader". His most well know trader, Jim Rogers, claims to be a poor trader also. They didn't need to be. So he knows a truth about big aggregations and pools like his that the common man does not; money, for men like him, anyway, is nothing, and if he needs very much more in the course of his mission it will be provided, just like his first aggregation, out of thin air. Anyway, Soros is not important in a personal way, there are thousands more like him in the world. So go ahead, let Brazil completely surrender her sovereignty, throw open your borders and let foreigners like Soros come to own your national leaders and control your government. One day the blue helmeted UN Hessians will come and force their will upon you, there will be mandatory birth control for Brazilians because you are "overpopulating the planet" and they will bulldoze your house and plant a banyan tree in its place and herd all of you off to an "environmentally sustainable" concentration camp. You may think this is "wayo" but it is not. While you are here in the USA go up to Atlanta and spend some time at the Carter Center. If you hang around there long enough you will likely get to rub shoulders with some of those who travel in the Soros circle and who share his worldview. I have listened to their opinions, in settings both private and public, and I think I know what these people think and what they want to do with the world and how they intend to do it. Another thing about them, just like Marxists they truly believe that their vision is "inevitable" and that their program to "save the world" will come to pass. And they have some reasonable criticisms. There is no point in exhausting a billion year old legacy of resources in a generation or two just to construct the maximum number of trophy houses around the world in order to expand world trade and commerce.
