I saw another piece, possibly 60 Minutes as well, where an upper middle class couple were saddled with $8K/month drug treatments for her cancer. It was experimental and it was coming out of their savings. I don't know that many people who could pay that for any extended period of time. Another woman was facing similar costs and she wasn't upper middle class. This is like the old song, 'if living were a thing that money could buy, the rich would live and the poor would die' --- apparently that's quite true in the US of A the richest country in history. Is that pathetic and disgusting or what.
