I think folks on the left are helping the republicans get ready for 2008 by choosing Rudy G. If I was doing the polling i think i would discover that most folks in the US feel more stongly about bush admin incompetence as opposed to wrong policies. The more incompetent folks on the left make bush, the more acceptable rudy becomes to the Right (even the religious right). Rudy took over from liberal dinkins when NY was a sewer and turned it into a safe managable city. Thats when he first became americas mayor. Rudy took no shit from racists like Sharpton and did not pander to African American race baiters. Then 9/11 and i think most folks agree he did a great job there. Think NYC, Think 9/11, Think Katrina, Think Iraq, etc and Rudy comes across as competent, a realist and a guy who would have fired Brownie on the spot. Also if you want to fire up a conservatve just say president hillary and they might move to rudy in a heartbeat. The above is the Chris Matthews opinion and I think it has the ring of truth to it.
