slacker, "Is Nokia going to give these customers a refund"
Good retort but what I'm trying to say is:
We are hung up by the notion that a phone is a phone, is an internet device. I remember stopping wearing a wrist watch more than 15 years ago when I always carried a phone with a good clock and timer built in.
A cell phone for most people, to point out the obvious, is a phone, a text messr, a PIM, a clock and lately a MP3 player and a really good camera with video capability.

Internet connection using HDR doesn't even register on the list of what you will use it for. Maybe it will eventually but maybe not. But for some reason it MUST be worth 5%. NOW! Maybe 0.1% is more like it. Maybe QCOM SHOULD get its revenue from traffic rather than devices!

You also wrote: "when NAND is selling for $5 a GB."
Ooops - there goes the OTA downloading of music, podcasts and maybe even youtube videos that so many QCOMers had such high hopes for.
Stuff happens, who would have guessed you would get GBs on a tiny chip for almost free when QCOM started to charge 5% eons ago. We have to adjust to reality.
