The keys will be in the software which is also on the hard drives in question. Like a lot of other things, encryption is only as good as restrictions to the hardware. Notice how quickly encryption was bypassed or broken for HD-DVDs and Blu-ray discs. I'm sure the decryption keys position and methods will be well known within a few weeks in any HTPC. Encryption just makes it harder, but it will be broken and a QAD workaround will be found likely faster than going through the programmed methods. It may not be able to be certified, but the performance will be much higher with less defects.
