It's not just socialists, or even mainly socialists, who want world wide regulation. Are you under the impression that even a majority (or even a significant minority) of the world's concerned scientists (wrt this issue) are socialists who are sad they've lost the world wide bandwagon of socialism (somehow connected to the fall of communism)? If you are asserting this, could you back it up with some facts. So far I've seen zip on the facts front. You've got plenty of strange theories, but do you have any numbers? For all you want to say about the global warming folks, at least they've got some numbers. You can argue about their numbers, but so far I've got nothing like hard evidence from you.

I fail to see how the fall of communism could depress socialists- who are a different class of political creature, and who didn't really have a huge investment in the USSR, and further, how you get from THERE to thinking they have anything much to do with the global warming debate. Let me guess- Gore is really a homeless East German, despondent over the fall of communism, and looking to promote the terror of global environmental regulations. There are probably WMD somewhere in this story, aren't there? Weapons of meteorological destruction, that is.
