Thanks for the abstract. Actually, I always sprinkle a little black pepper and some cayenne in with my turmeric. I like the taste. And if it acts in a preventive fashion, great.

I had thought that you'd mentioned the capsaicin/curcumin combo on this thread last year. But maybe the combo doesn't work and it's just me. ;-)

Does this have anything to do with why "white pepper" (hulled and ground black pepper) is usually stated to be more digestible than ground black pepper? Just curious.

I use white pepper in lots of recipes and specifically in salsa.
