The neighboring building, when compared to the 'gold citadel', has the same foot print, building space, and is in the same condition. The ask price is 47% higher than my syndicate paid for 'gold citadel' - so, in other words, no buyer's remorse as yet (iv) We received another bid on the 'gold citadel', at 16% higher than the purchase price (we have not closed on the transaction, awaiting title search result - each floor of the building is under a different title); as we have only plopped down a 10% deposit two weeks ago, the bid, if accepted, would represent a 160% gain on investment over two weeks, tax free We rejected the offer. Then the bidder came back through his agent and asked the fateful question, "what is your selling price?". We will hold out for a double, but will only let prospective buyer know after we have closed on our purchase :0) (v) USD is tanking against most of my cash holdings, and this may be the next leg down for the dollar. Events could get ugly, and then get hideous. Chugs, J
