Yes Libby-Cheney did compromise national security in a very big way. According to many, Iran and its WMD program is now our greatest threat. Plame was a key covert CIA on Iranian WMD and her outing also exposed all the other agents and contacts she worked with, the whole network ruined.

If in fact that Saddam sought yellow cake in Niger, then why did Cheney and Scooter conspire to take Wilson and Plame down? Why not just stick to presenting the evidence they had on hand? Why the need to take a whack at Plame's identity?

Was it revenge? Kinda like going after attorneys that didn't toe the line?

Typical Bushie hatchet job.
