That depends on what role they played in the politically motivated firings.

No its not obstruction of justice. Obstruction of justice is when you hide evidence, make false statements, or through some other illegal means prevent a legal investigation, or prosecution, or conviction. Encouraging a prosecution, isn't obstruction of justice.

I bet you wouldn't feel that way if you were the target of the investigation.
