The only way it could be other than a pipe dream forever, or a disaster, is for the economy to produce so much resources that the reduced incentives and lowered efficiency of communism, combined with the incentive for corruption of whoever is put in charge of what is produced, wouldn't matter much. Or to put it another way if we have so much that many goods and services don't have to be treated as economically scarce items. There is no point having this discussion because there is no way that either of us can envision this happening because of our bias growing up in this society.
