I did not mean to imply that you were the one who tried to warn me off of Africa, I'm just saying that some risks are worth incurring. They just have to be managed. As for why ARU hasn't been taken out, my understanding is that the majors who have been to the site and signed CA's also signed stand-off agreements. I agree that the government is a concern, but as you pointed out, operations can be conducted in all kinds of dicey situations.
