Even dictators feel the need for love, but they are stuck in their ways and have no way out. Saddam couldn't just quit and retire in happiness with his wife, daughters, sons and sons in law. Their end was Shakespearian - chaotic lives and death in the end. Idi Amin had to flee to Saudi Arabia and see out his days in exile. Marcos, Shah Pahlavi, and so on - ignominious ends. The USA is wondering how the heck they can get out of Iraq, having whacked the Tar Baby.
