Gore edwards is two southerners so unlikely. Also edwards has his hands full and i dont think he will go the veep route again. Gore/Obama would be tough to beat. I think the negatives on hillary are so high and thus her margin for error so low that she probably wouldnt win if nominated although she would have my vote most probably. She is tough. Barak who has no negatives could be done in any moment by lack of national experience or Race. Race is always under the surface and obama was an activist, not a republican regardless of how he is positioned now.
Gore needs to stay fat (authentic) and then he has a great shot because most americans know that if it werent for what i consider to be an antiquated constitutional provision, he won the presidency in 2000. I dont think of gore as a flaming liberal. I think green can be aligned with moderates too. Wharf Rat makes convincing arguments about green being pro business--future business vs current. I just worry about the class warfare aspect of the dems. Raise taxes on the rich. It never works out that way because the dems consider too many folks rich who are really middle class muddling thru.

What I can't stand about the Dems is the mamby-pamby, wishy-washy, unfocused air about them. They screwed it up with Kerry and his totally spineless campaign in 2004

One section of the Dems is not wishy-washy. Unfortunately for their chances in the general election, that section is a neo-McGovernite left. The more centrist Dems spend their energy trying to claw the more leftist Dems from taking the party over the cliff again. Looks to me like they are losing that one.

Kerry was sort of a panicked choice when Dean imploded last time. You may get the same sort of choice (Hillary, probably) if Obama doesn't turn out to be the Second Coming like his current billing proclaims.

Yeah, well, like Will Rogers before me, I belong to no organized party. Still, it works better for me that the malignant focus of the Republicans. I'll take disorder over Shooter Cheney running things from the bunker any day.
