Hagel learned the less of vietnam that McCain has not. But fyi, he is about as conservative on issues as any republican. He called a press conference a few weeks ago and everyone expected him to announce. Instead he procrasinated. He might not have the fire in his belly to go the distance. Keep an eye on Fred Thomson. Very moderate demeanor--conservative guy but an actor---maybe another reagan which i like the idea of--i know you dont.
