Best thing about them is you have seamless reception pretty much anywhere, even out in the middle of nowhere. My next auto toy is going to be a Garmin GPS unit.

My new Commander has the Chrysler GPS unit and my TJ has the Garmin STREET PILOT. The Garmin is IMHO far better then the factory unit. Gives a lot more information, especially if you just want to use it for street numbers (Street pilot shows every address as you drive by, great for finding an office or store in a commercial district where they never seem to list the numbers adequately, and offroading I can input coordinates and it will take me right to that spot, I dont think the factory unit can do that although it will leave a cookie crumb trail. Now, I am not altogether up on the factory unit yet so if I am wrong about it feel free to correct me. jdn
