Like most ex-presidents, he hit the lecture circuit. Remember when Reagan went to Japan and gave speeches just days after he left office? Telling the Japanese how they were on the road to overtaking the US, and got paid several hundred million for that couple of weeks. No doubt, arranging the whole thing on White House stationary...

Both he and his wife got multi million dollar book deals.....ten million dollars goes a long way when you are buying a house.
