For all the "foot on throats" sharp ass big guys that control all the money, they are still helpless babies when it really comes to "controlling the market". It just can't be done. The market is in runaway truck mode, either up or down. T

The engine has become disconnected from it's load.

re: ["While I see the same economic fault lines that you and others see, barring some trend altering dramatic event, the short term broad market direction continues to be up. The meltdown of 2/27 has had no follow through despite the sub prime ballyhoo and now the Fed stance seems to rule out higher rates. A "soft landing" psychology predominates and the timing of a major downward reversal is probably postponed.Having said that, I believe that soon China will forcefully act to restrain unwise lending and industrial capacity and this will have a major ripple effect worldwide, but until then the light remains green."- ecrire]

Very few people really see what is happening in the
world today. Neither geopolitically, or economically.

By design... people are focusing on the Fed, or the Lou
Jiwei's of the world (China's so-called "$200 Billion
Dollar Man.").

But, it's not the puppets you need to be watching
...it's the puppeteers -- those controlling the strings.

Markets change, but people never do. The same 7 deadly
sins have ruled human behavior since Adam & Eve.

What is happening now -- started long ago.

I'll expand on this later as time permits.
For now, we'll start at the beginning... with a
very prescient quote from long ago...

"A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the Nation and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the world - no longer a Government of free opinion no longer a Government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men....

Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”

That statement was made in 1913 by President Woodrow Wilson.

And it's as true today -- as it was then.

Wilson was referring to something very powerful, very serious and very ominous for America.
Sadly, it's gaining both massive power and massive momentum -- because it's rapidly gaining
wealth at an unprecedented pace.

Wealth transfered from your pockets -- into theirs.

More on this later...

Timing:
EOQ is prime next week.
3-27-07 & 3-29-07 could prove to be interesting market direction days.

H&S patterns in the general indices are presenting themselves.

Notice how Paulson keeps his 'pimp hand strong.'

INDU:

Not too sure what he's doing with the other hand...

My best guess is he's serving (a Lewinski) at the pleasure of our VP.
