Yes, Porter a guy nobody really wanted, turns out to be the star. Athletics like politics have a lot in common. Many times the guys under the radar, turn out to be the very best in both arenas. It is hard to judge inner strength, and that is what counts in the long run.

But most judgements made in recruiting athletes AND politicians are made by outside appearance, pretty faces or great bodies.. That doesn't hurt, of course, but it's not whole story..

Edit: I think Dennis Kucinich could be a "Porter type" in politics if only he would be recruited by the American people.

Agent "0", Gilbert Arenas, the Wizards superstar, out of Arizona, had similar frustrations coming up.

He was determined to prove everybody wrong.

He still wears the number "0", which he wore at Arizona, as a reminder of what people thought his chances were....
