I don't like my neighbors, besides, I hit what I aim at. I keep a 16 1/2 inch barreled pistol griped SKS with a hollow point loaded 30 round mag handy.

Over penetration should always be a concern.

Hollow point ammunition would be good for preventing overpenetration. That would be useful for handguns and rifles.

The military uses a bullet for special occasions (raiding buildings) which can not ricochet. It turns to powder when it strikes something hard like a brick. However, bullet is still deadly since it stays solid when striking flesh.
