You only cite one example related the US citizens, the attempt to reform US education. This could be debated either way. All of your other examples could be looked at as US imperialism trying to dominate and control other parts of the world which has nothing to do with compassion. Post 91268 I'll give you. I think it would be an easier task to exemplify how Bush is a class warrior out to profit his class (the super wealthy) than it would be to show in reality that he is compassionate.

Brumar is lying again on the "liberal fiction" thread which of course bans honest people like me, saying that liberals spit on the troops, desecrate the flag and are marxists. This kind of radical rightwing BS needs to stop. It is now proven that the politicians who care least about our troops are the Bushies. It is also proven that the peace meachers in 2003 who tried to stop the war were right. And non e of them did anything remotely criminal. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right of every American and it can be a patrioic thing to do, so long as you're not promoting hatred or lies. As for marxism, the USSR was the OPPOSITE of liberalism in almost every way and a fascist police state which is much closer to Bush-Cheney values than the rightwing likes to admit. Both the McCarthy USA and the USSR controlled their people by scaring them with the Cold War smears and fears. Both built absurd insane amounts of nuclear weapons. Both tried to create global empires. Both too often neglected the needs and rights of their own people. Both had inquisitions like Mcarthyism did in the 50's against those who disagreed with the party line and put people in prisons just for being liberals.
