Jimmy is "trusted" only when he criticizes Republicans.
He was ignored in 1999 when he criticized Clinton:

Jimmy Carter: NATO bombing 'a fruitless effort'

Carter said sending ground troops into Kosovo would be "a better option" than the bombing he blames for hurting the people of Serbia but not Milosevic. He said he became alarmed when the bombing shifted from military targets to roads, bridges, and water supplies.

The former president, who has become well-known as a peace negotiator since leaving office in 1980, said he thought NATO could have done more to try to reach a peaceful resolution before the conflict began, and that negotiations should never have been abandoned.

In response to Carter's comments, State Department spokesman James Rubin said "President Carter's suggestion that we should have kept on negotiating with President Milosevic ... is simply incorrect."

White House press secretary Joe Lockhart said Carter was a leader with "real stature ... both at home and abroad. But on this case we just respectfully disagree with him."

Carter said he wrote to President Clinton a few weeks ago, urging him not to use cluster bombs -- a weapon that Carter said is "only used to kill human beings." He said he has not received a response from the president.

That's why we should disregard world opinion. It is favorable to Carter because he has no backbone.
