Sorry, I for one believe that Ron Paul is correct. If you remember the stock market crash of 1929 and the Great Depression were under the watch of the Federal Reserve which was created in 1913.

And what the Fed did best was reduce the purchasing power of the US$. See: bls.gov On the upper left side, under "Inflation & Consumer Spending" select "Inflation Calculator." I suggest you plug in 1.00 for 1913 and see what amount is necessary today to duplicate the buying power of $1.00 in 1913.

If the Fed keeps this up, we won't have to worry about recessions at all: we won't be able to afford whatever is for sale.
