The whole rest of the piece is hate speech. It's intent is to foment hate against certain people. The people who oppose the war.

I renounce hate speech and denounce the people who take their hate to the streets.

I don't see the "real face" of the antiwar movement doing likewise.

Its intent is to foment hate against certain people. George Bush and the people who support America in it. There's no lunatic fringe there, just an anti-war movement willing to do anything to get its way.

The protestors are engaging in hate speech and fomenting hate against soldiers and against America in general (by crapping on the flag and burning it). Why aren't you more upset by their hate speech? Instead the only hate speech you seem upset by is a condemnation of them and their actions.

What about all the hate speech on SI against Bush, Cheney, Republicans, conservatives by liberals? Is it not hate speech when liberals foment hate against Bush and conservatives?

I think your selective outrage is bullshit.
