I think the worst thing revealed by the Plame affair is the infiltration of our government agencies by partisans who work to undercut the policies of the elected government. The fact is Bush was elected. He is the President. And he and Congress together under the Constitution get to establish our foreign policies. But we have unelected persons in the State Dept and CIA who think they should have the right to undercut and nullify the policies of the elected government. Thats terribly wrong, virtually treasonous. And an indication those institutions need to be thoroughly house-cleaned, maybe even shut down.
