The Republican tax expert author who wrote "Perfectly Legal" (I think that's the title) dissected the actual numbers and found that because of loopholes for the upperclass, only those making over $500,000 per year benefit. And sure people pay less upfront but they kick the debt down the road and get cuts in vital services as well as huge jumps in corporate gouging, mainly by those industries closest to Bush-cheney, energy and health care primarily. Under Bush health care is up 50%, energy prices have doubled, college tuitions are way up and scholarships much harder to get, plus the debt load that Bushies are accumulating reaches into the mutli-trillions with no end in sight. Bushies are never dishonest about how they conceal this. They do not count war costs for instance. They create false benchmarks for future years then claim to have beaten them. It is a big huge fraud perpetrated on ther American people, real Enron accounting. Reagan did the same thing, but never as bad as Bush. When Reagan left office he too left a huge debt which had to be paid off by the next two administrsations, but Bush is on target to load us down with many times reagan's debt. Bush is also a much bigger spender. He has not vetoed a singtle spending bill. As a result of Bush's reckless debt spending programs, the dollar is also down 50% against the Euro. Try going to Europe and see if you feel rich. Our dollar is now disrespected around the world. Under Clinton the dollar was very strong, all the bills were paid plus large surpluses the last two years.
