I strongly encourage you to protest Bush policies.

You can do this by figuring out your taxes this April 15th
using the law from the year 2000.

Might have had some help from congress, these
budgets do pass, and then debt ceiling gets
raised and on and on.

What is amazing, is that America can still borrow
for 5% or thereabouts.

What I want to hear from any candidates is how much
more it will cost, in lives and money. And what do
I personally owe the Pentagon--what is my debt
for Iraq? If we use $300B and divide that by $300M
Americans, and I pay for a family of four*, that means
my cost is $4000. Just a first approximation based
on an equal cost for all citizens.

Or you might break it up and see what has been spent
per Iraqi. Either way, it is awfully expensive.

_______________
*That is not strictly true, the tax tables, exemptions
and deductions, not to mention the child credit seem
to subsidize my wife and kids--but this is just a mental
exercise.
