i was just having fun. please don't take offense.

i think the original thrust of this thread was that due to the statistical nature of the presence/absence and placement of a now smaller number of atoms in ever thinning layers it may more difficult for amd to do apm.

i'm guessing amd's apm gets redefined as necessary to meet the challenges of process advancement and may in fact no longer work exactly as it has been described in past disclosures. that doesn't mean they won't still crow about it. they have little else to crow about.

the real issue for me is what kind of products can they build and sell and what is the resulting profit.

we'll get a better idea of that in a couple of weeks along with another heart-felt speech from hector.
