In some respects, it is more free there than in NZ. But if they decide they don't like what you are doing, your body parts will be sold off to the highest bidder. Which, of course, is a good thing in my opinion. But I wouldn't enact that for reading the wrong website or expressing the wrong opinion [unless it was Islamic Jihad opinion].

One can ride a bicycle around town without a crash helmet without being arrested. In NZ, police can fill their quotas issuing such offence notices and arresting any defiant people who like the wind in their hair.

In China, the wind in your hair is more dirt in your hair than wind.
