I agree, of course the people with huge mortgages would bitch to all end, but truth is, its UNHEALTHY to have so much debt. I got myself totally out of debt about 15 years ago and its a WONDERFUL feeling. I think such a tax structure would make our nation and its people financially more healthy. On top of that if instead we had a VAT TAX it would catch those people, particularly the underground, that pay no or very little of their fair share. I bet something like a 7-8% VAT tax would do it if it was on everything. jdn
