Mark: I've been following the exchange here (at least somewhat). Frankly, I don't quite understand how a guy who posts something like this: Message 23385845 Yes liberals have logic on their side. Along with truth, justice, and compassion. What do righties have on their side? Greed, oppression, war and corruption. ....can actually say, with a straight face, some of the things you've been stating today. My 2 cents, FWIW, is that there are a lot of people in the anti-war movement who are as black and white in their thinking as you appear to be. And yes, they are represented in some of the photos and articles being discussed here. Not everything can be explained by a conspiracy theory. The reality is that people on SI of the hard left bent say things every day that aren't much different from the views expressed by what you're calling the left fringe. How would you rate Cindy Sheehan along the political spectrum? Where would you place her if you had to? Please don't tell me that she was photoshopped by some hardcore right wingers. There were left-leaning enclaves on SI where posters were this short of orgasmic over Sheehan.

I've been to a lot of peace protests and I've NEVER seen anyone shit on the flag or have signs that say "fuck the troops". It's too easy to Photoshop something like that, or to just lie about it, knowing that your uneducated righty audience will be more than willing to lap it up hook, line, and sinker. Then you REALLY need to get out more....
