It is less likely that they will deteriorate into a genocidal blood bath, while we are supporting the current government.
The current government is propped up but Sader, Sader takes his Q from Iran. The US (Bush) is using Iraq as a spring board to Iran and cares less about the Iraqis.
We would all like to see Iraq define itself as an autonomous nation securing it's own future, ASAP.
I hope so too.
the US Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, declared, "We think it's worth it." That singled to me that our government was deliberately targeting the innocent children in an effort to encourage the enemies of Saddam from within Iraq, as a strategy to incite an overthrow.
That shows that the Democrats and the Republicans care less about human lives.

Bushies Claim Congress Should Not Investigate White House, but should concentrate on the peoples' business. I hope everyone sees through that big fat lie which is the spin of the week.

The peoples' business includes protecting our government from corrupt politicians and undue influence by special interests, from gross incompetence, from attacks on our Constitution, fr4om attacks on our judicial branch (that's what Prosecutorgate is all about), from official liars who deliberately mislead us into wars and other follies, huge ripoff schemes like energy prices doubling under Bush-Cheney and healthcare rising 50%, and election fraud. Plus outing CIA agents of course.

All of the above is the most critical kind of peoples' business, because if we cannot trust our government, we are no better off that citizens of some tinpot dictatorship, or at least Mexico or the Phillipines. In fact the whole mess starts stinking like it did in the Soviet Union where anyone who questioned the almighty party leaders was persecuted and told to shut up, or worse.
