When my sis and niece were in NY in December, they spotted Meredith and waved to her. She beamed and shouted back, as though they were friends, "Hi, how are you doing!" When Diane told me this, we both agreed Katie Couric couldn't be bothered acknowledging the public. She has risen WAY above the level of her incompetence. I've only watched her on CBS twice. I'm surprised she's still there.
