"a lot of money".... Then you must just LOVE all the ethanol and commodity crop price support spending, JL... not to mention Iraq probably costing as much as WW II (before the war is all over with....) (This year it matches all the cost for the much longer Vietnam War, having passed Korea already... and the clock continues to tick....) Not to mention that you must absolutely love probably every single appropriations bill that has been passed out of Washington in our lifetimes.... :-( (But, this 'spinach' crap funding ain't even a rounding error in the context of how much money is in this Iraq War appropriations bill --- all of it STILL officially 'off-budget' low this FOURTH year of major funding. :-( The only 'extraneous', supposedly 'non-war' funding of any real material consequence contained in this appropriations bill is: A) Katrina recovery funding [which was promised all along...], and 2) War Wounded appropriations for Veterans --- which is certainly 'war-related' in MY book! [And was also 'promised'.]
