When I lived in the area, I never ventured into the area East of 15th St. and North of Massachusetts Avenue.

Had friends who lived in Adams Morgan in the '80's. They regularly found used needles in their backyard. Not my idea of good living.

Scott had some working women, as did Logan Circle, which is a couple blocks north. The area's been cleaned up quite a bit - a lot of the decrepit old mansions have now been restored. The neighborhood around 14th and U is now thriving. I always feel completely comfortable riding my bike the length of 14th, though there are still parts I wouldn't wander around at night.
