No... he had friends in Saudi Arabia, that also contributed to his cause. The house of Saud, would not help him because he was a threat to them as well. People forget that that all the arab nations of the middle east saw what the Taliban did to Afghanistan, and they wanted no part of the Taliban, in their home countries. (Taliban and OSL were one and the same) Osama and the Taliban were able to use each other in a very deadly way. Even Hussein, hated and feared the Taliban. The Taliban were a threat to the stability any middle east nation. He did his best to eradicate any trace of them in Iraq. Iran and Syria wanted no part of the Taliban or bin Laden. The Taliban and OBL was a direct threat to their governments. It had been reported that Hussein wanted Bin Laden dead, and the sooner the better. All these countries did share one common enemy, "The USA". Our lifestyle is exactly what they did not want their countries to become. The is no room in our country for radical, ultra conservative Muslims. Having these ultra conservatives run free in our country would be like having just a little bit of cancer in our systems. In this country we have to blame someone for our predicament, and OBL is as good of a catch all as we are going to get. He was also a strong rallying point for the Republican Party in the last Presidential election. Every cause needs a focal point OBL was it for the ultra conservatives in the Muslim religion.
