LOL!

<< "Liberal Tourette's Syndrome? We know about BDS. This may be related." >>

The following contains genuine "centrist" "Views" [AKA Liberal Tourette's Syndrome], with the exception of the twice used BushHitler....

Sully: Hi Dale! Did you hear that they're having success with the surge?

Dale: BushHitler!

Sully: Say again?

Dale: "Rove's manic drive to create an unassailable partisan conservative majority at all levels of government and the electorate, flamed out precisely because it was more obsessed with politics than policy or ethics."

Sully: What's that got to do with the great news about the surge?

Dale: "People with partisan blinkers on can't run a diversified country, society or electorate. Just doesn't work."

Sully: Gee Dale that doesn't sound very "centrist" to me???

Dale: "the Cheney-Rove "VOTE US IN AGAIN OR YOU WILL DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!" mentality from 2004 has receded back to the red state base, and looks shaky even there."

Sully: Did Cheney really say that??

Dale: "Welcome to hate-talk radio. It is way beyond cynical."

Sully: Huh? So tell me Dale, who are you rooting for this spring?

Dale: "The states with the highest median incomes tend to be the bluest, go figure."

Sully: OK.... ?? Well then, how about the confessions from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed? That was something, 'eh?

Dale: "Are we aware what lies at the end of the road opened up by the normalization of torture? A significant detail of Mr. Mohammed’s confession gives a hint."

Sully: Oh geeze! I'm starting to feel tortured.

Dale: Ah ha! BushHitler!!!!

"We are in the middle of a process of moral corruption: those in power are literally trying to break a part of our ethical backbone, to dampen and undo what is arguably our civilization’s greatest achievement, the growth of our spontaneous moral sensitivity."

Sully: Can you give me a "centrist's" "View" of the replacing of 8 prosecutors?

Dale: "The prosecutor thing sounds like part of the same broad project that Rove brought to town; a strong, unaccountable executive, permanent Republican majorities in Congress, the K Street lobbyist conversion, bending intelligence to neocon policy goals, etc. Fielding a loyal squad of US attorneys was just another page in the playbook."

Sully: How about a "centrist's" "View" of the Republican Party?

Dale: "Interesting concept; if the zealots can't push the "facts" to fit their conclusions, they have failed. The idea that policymakers should weigh all the information and opinions and reach a reasoned conclusion based on what they know is either weakness or failure or both.

That sums up the neocons pretty well. Nice to see them fading away back into the wilderness."

Sully: Any thoughts on the GWOT?

Dale: "Washington is no fun without an endless existential threat to keep everyone focused, LOL. Gates must hear that often enough now to be back in the Kool-Aid camp.

I wish one of the true faithful would write up an actual scenario how the baddies will destroy America and end our existence. So far, the idea has survived and thrived as a simple slogan without much meat on the bones."

Sully: Any last thoughts?

Dale: "Bill Maher quote of the day:

"Evil happens when good men do nothing. For Democrats in America today, it's what happens when mediocre people do nothing.""
