The Democrats risk getting bogged down in this. I can see the attraction, but if they investigated everything, this could go on for generations.

There are other issues that need to be addressed. If they were to seriously tackle alternative energy and the war, there are some potent political points to be won there, also.

I agree. I think for now they figure they can seal the deal of exposing these crooks for what they really are...but they can overcook for sure.

Yeah, the Dems need to focus. They need to investigate some things, but they need to set priorities. I think the prosecutor firings seem to be getting them a peek into the WH, so that should continue.

If they can find some links between the Bushies and crooked Iraq contractors, that would be great too. There's really no telling WHAT will lead back to Bush/Cheney. It was a second-rate burglary that ended up taking down Nixon.

CJ, > The Democrats risk getting bogged down in this.

A far different tone than the righteous indignation you expressed in your last post to me:

Like I said, the Dems are wasting their time playing "Find the Crime." Maybe they'll get lucky and actually dig up some sort of smoking gun. More likely they'll come out empty-handed without even another Libby to show for it.
