"Their extremism in mischaracterizing the opposition to their fouled up war is far worse than the extremism of some of the antiwar big mouths. Why? Because their extremism has covered and abetted massive incompetence and hubris in the execution of this war. By aggressively attacking opponents, they have thrown the focus off their total blundering of this war, from the initial runup through the endless quagmire we're now mired in."

It passes without argument that the Bush Administration represents a right wing agenda. Exaggerations or mischaracterizations of one side against the other have not benefitted the arguments of either side. In fact, they have been, in all cases, counter productive. Neither side can claim it's extremism is better or worse than the opposition, nor do objective observers consider them justified in any case. Both sides are willing to allow our country to decay into a mindless mob rumbling in the street, rather than to work together toward well reasoned and resolute solutions to our problems. The mainstream has been complaining about it for a long time. If we weren't so discouraged and apathetic we'd do some thorough spring cleaning and start over with true representatives of the people.
