The extreme wings have never 'balanced themselves out'. They created a bipolar culture that keeps the moderates from doing the right thing. The true champions of both conservative and liberal ideals have always been the moderates. For example, who is currently attempting to save the soul of the GOP - liberals? No way. It is moderate Republicans who have finally risen in revolt against the neocons who hijacked their party and this country. Sean Hannity and Michael Moore do not create a 'healthy balance'.
