In many ways Carter was a greater president than Reagan. No he didn't have Reagan's charisma and he was very unlucky with Iran, but look at his peace inititives and his clean energy programs.
Also don't forget how Carter helped open up the Soviet Union to talks, a major first step to ending the Cold War. Sean Hannity ikes to claim Reagan ended the Cold War, but without Carter before him, that would not have been possible. Of course a lot of parties deserve credit for that, mostly the Soviet young generation and Gorby.

Carter was also the only true Christian president we have had in modern times. His compassion is real. Bush's compassion is just a campaign slogan with nothingbacking it up. GW Bush certainly doesn't believe in Christian acts or charity. He believes in empowering big business over people, and shunting the poor and needy to the side. He believes in all kinds of things christ would find offensive.
