I don't feel any family member wants to be told other than the truth about the circumstances of a loved one's death in combat.

This dishonors Tillman's sacrifice. And the lie was what his family wanted investigated and cleared up, so I don't think the Army's original decision made any sense. The death was a tragedy. The Army's handling of it was a disgrace.
