I understand it would be virtually impossible to search every ship completely here in America. Thus they have elected to go with in depth security, beginning the search even while in foreign ports as well as knowing the shipping companies and their vessels very well. Is it the right idea, HELL I dont know, but so far, so good. Same is true of all the trucks entering America from Mexico and Canada. To really do a thorough search would shut down commerce. jdn
